EPICUTIS SKINCARE PRODUCTS
This science-based skincare line treats skin health, not just age. Products use patented active ingredients in small-batch formulations made by scientist Masanori Tamura. These novel ingredients are developed by a team of scientists at Signum Biosciences utilizing technology discovered by Dr. Jeffry Stock at Princeton University. The Epicutis team creates skincare technologies with complete transparency. From their laboratory to your hands, they ensure each product is formulated with only the best ingredients with the goal of attaining and maintaining healthy skin.
Lipid Serum
The Lipid Serum is formulated with TSC, a small molecule that reduces inflammation, blocks UVA/UVB-induced damage, possesses antioxidant properties, protects collagen, and balances the skin’s microbiome. With only 8 ingredients, our serum works to improve skin hydration, while re-texturizing the surface of the skin for a smoother feel.

HYVIA Crème
HYVIA Crème, created with HYVIA, a patented Chia Seed Oil extract. HYVIA is a next generation moisturizer that improves hydration on the cellular level while strengthening the skin’s barrier. This formulation includes several other active ingredients that enhance and help drive our actives deeper into the skin.
Chia (Salvia hispanica L.) is an ancient crop that has experienced an agricultural resurgence in recent decades due to the high omega-3 (ω3) and omega-6 (ω6) fatty acid content of the seeds and good production potential. While chia has been widely studied as a functional food and reported to have several clinical benefits including cardioprotection, weight loss, and metabolic disorder improvement, very little has been published on its benefits when applied topically, despite the key functions ω3 α-linolenic acid (ALA) and ω6 linoleic acid (LA) (also referred to as Vitamin F) play in skin. To date, only one report has been published where a topical formulation of 4% chia seed oil extract was applied for 8 weeks and the authors concluded that chia was effective for pruritus, xerosis, and beneficial for skin hydration.
